I haven't strayed very far from UA -- I currently live in
Grandview and
Columbus has always been my home. I am married to Dave Pierson,
a real
estate broker, and we have one son together, Max, who is 10.
Dave is an
urban development specialist and we own property in the Short North,
as well
as Grandview. I was previously married to York Proctor, a very
talented
musician (bass), and we have two sons, Jack and Matt Proctor.
Jack is a
professional drummer and lives around the corner from me and Matt is
studying theater at OSU and is an aspiring actor/playwrite/film maker.
Jack
& Matt also have a band called "Audible Detonation"
(punk, lo-fi, 60s rock
with some funk and reggae thrown in) and they gig around various clubs
in
Columbus for kicks, playing such original songs as "Back it Up,
Baby." My
question as a mother, is "back what up?" Max is well
on his way to becoming
an extremely gifted athelete, but his passion changes with each season
(basketball, football, baseball). His newest obsession is
skateboarding and
he has a drum set in his bedroom, which all the neighborhood kids love
pouding on. Being a mother is my greatest accomplishment and I
have enjoyed
all the stages of raising my children. I have always been a
working mother
and have worked full time since I was 18. I am a paralegal and
received my
degree at Columbus State after 5 years of night school! I worked
at the
Ohio Attorney General's Office in Crime Victims Services for 11 years.
I
now work at Schottenstein Zox & Dunn law firm in the arena
district where I
work on special projects as assigned to me by the attorneys.

> I come from a large family (9 children) and I'm grateful to say
we're all
thriving. My sister, Suzie, is a breast cancer survivor (5+
years) and
teaches music at Jones and has taught many of my classmates' children.
My
parents, Don and Sue, still live in UA on Leeds Road and recently
celebrated
their 50th wedding anniversary.

> When I have free time, which isn't often, I read, play music,
listen to
music, download music, write, prowl around the flea markets, arts
festivals,
book stores and antique shops for vintage inspiration and stuff I
don't
need, watch my sons perform, and plan on what new hobbies I'll pursue
in my
free time when I ever get it. I also do volunteer work at
various agencies
around Columbus (St. Vincent's Family Center, the YWCA Family Shelter)
and am
a member of PACO (Paralegal Association of Central Ohio), Pro Bono
Committee, and go to Our Lady of Victory Church.

restore
this spring. I'm looking forward to the day when we get it out
of our
garage and into the water... Life is Good!
