How’s it going?
Hope all is well with you. Finally got on the web site last
evening, and really enjoyed some of the things you and others have
done with it. I especially liked the places where you could put
the cursor on a high school photo and then have it flash to a current
one. I can say that aging has not created a problem with you as
you have become quite the distinguished looking gentleman! I
also liked the section where people can see who will be going to the
reunion (if someone actually admits they are going), since it could
give others an incentive to go and make the event even bigger.
It’s too bad we don’t have more of the class participating in the
web site stuff so we are all up to date. I wanted to see a lot
more!
On a sadder note, I noticed the section of those classmates that have
passed away has grown. I counted 28 that we have lost, to think
all before the age of 50. Maybe with a bigger class size, the
numbers will also be bigger---? I told my wife of the total, and
having graduated from a very small school, she indicated that number
would have wiped out 70% of her class! In addition, I saw a
trend I didn’t like, and that was at least three of the 28 were on
my page of the yearbook! We need to get some control on that
trend! Well, all of them were in my thoughts last evening.
Anyway, I wanted to make sure that I at least replied to the invite,
and also keep my name in the loop for all the important
communications. I would like to attend this time, and there is
an outside chance I can make it, but for now, I probably need to
decline. That weekend is the time I have to get my 14 year old
son up to his summer hockey camp. I will be three hours north of
Toronto
for most of the weekend. And those darn Canadians just can’t
understand what the 4th of July is . . . eh?
Obviously, they do not celebrate the US Independence Day (theirs is
actually July 1st). At least it is pretty up there.
Please pass this
along to whomever you think needs to know, but especially those that
have contributed to the web site and festivities. Say hello to
all for me. Thanks.
