Hi everyone. I've looked at and enjoyed
the biographies everyone has submitted and decided I should submit one
as well. I'm right here in UA, have been most of my life and
other then some climatic challenges, couldn't think of a better place
to build a life. I went to OSU after HS with the misguided idea
of becoming a dentist and decided that didn't sound like much fun
after two years of math and chemistry. At about the same time, I
married Connie, my wife of 27 years and decided to transfer to
Franklin University to pursue a business degree at night while working
full time during the day. I later attended Capital University
also at night as I earned my MBA.
Except for living in Hudson, Ohio for a couple of years, we have been
in Columbus our entire lives and UA specifically for 18 of those post
high school years. I have a 22 year old daughter who just
graduated from OU and a son who is currently a freshman also at OU.
Both kids attended every year of school in the same UA schools that I
did and graduated from the high school. I have to admit they attended
many more classes than I did and will probably recognize more of their
classmates at 30 years than I will. That said, I certainly
appreciate the quality of education provided within the system much
more by having children in the schools, than by experiencing it
myself.
I work for Big Lots Inc, which is a Fortune 500 company based here in
Columbus. I've been a part of the business for 17 years while we have
built it into a very large retail chain.
As for Connie and the kids, we're a very close family, enjoy travel,
skiing, golf, our 2 dogs and yes, I'm still driving way too fast but
at least now it's on a race track in sports car events rather than
while circling the UA High School. Take care all. Look
forward to catching up with you.
P.S. As for the picture, sorry, too much effort.
