Daniel W. Rankin, 60, of Powell, died unexpectedly of natural causes at home April 21st and has gone home to be with The Lord. Dan was born July 21st, 1957 in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from Upper Arlington High School in 1975, attended Kent State University and graduated from Ohio State University, BA. He worked for Meeks and Company and was President of Rankin Homes, Inc. Dan was a member of Xenos Fellowship and Upper Arlington Lutheran Church and SAE Fraternity. Dan had numerous accomplishments in his life, but his family was his prized possession. He was a warm, dedicated, faithful and selfless man devoted to those he loved. He touched the lives of many and all who knew him cherished their time with him. He was always there to meet a need as his life was devoted to serving others. He not only walked with Jesus but is a model of what that looks like. He is survived by Penny Rankin (wife of 32 years), daughters Chelsea Rankin Ulmer (Dave) and Kacie Rankin, grandson Kristopher Rankin, parents Robert and Darlene Rankin, brother Matt Rankin, sisters Christine and Kimberly Rankin, niece Courtney, nephews Chase and Carson DePaso. Celebration of Life Service will be held at Upper Arlington Lutheran Church, 2300 Lytham Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43220 at 11:00 a.m. on May 11th.
